The Kokeroo
A mobile play space for babies 0-3.
This project commissioned by the Etterbeek Library in Brussels was in collaboration with Joke Den Haese, Artistic Director at D.O.O.S. who play. The library was looking for a way to encourage parents to bring their babies to the library to discover books.
Kokeroo is made up of 6 cardboard tubes of varying sizes, the largest having a dual purpose of a storage unit and light table. Each tube encompasses a theme and is filled with books and related play objects to create a provoking playful encounter. At the end of the play workshop, it is all stored back inside each other and put away until next time.
